By downloading, accessing, or using the Alerta Tormentas application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the App.

Alerta Tormentas is an informational application intended to provide weather-related information, visualization of storm activity, and community-based contingency awareness. The App is designed solely for informational and preventive purposes and does not replace official emergency services or professional advice.

To access certain features of the App, users are required to create an account and authenticate. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities performed under their account.

4. Contingency Reports

Users may submit structured contingency reports through predefined options available within the App. Users do not publish free-form public content.

All reports are subject to validation and moderation before being displayed. A contingency is only shown on the map when multiple independent users report the same event within a defined time window and geographic proximity. This mechanism is intended to reduce false or inaccurate information and improve overall reliability.

The App reserves the right to ignore reports, remove displayed contingencies, or restrict accounts that abuse the reporting system or intentionally attempt to generate false or misleading reports.

5. Alerts and Information Disclaimer

The Alerts section may include messages written by an individual who works with weather radar monitoring. These messages are shared voluntarily for informational purposes only and do not constitute official government communications.

The App does not represent, claim affiliation with, or act on behalf of any government authority, emergency service, or public institution.

All information provided through the App is offered "as is" and without guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

6. Location Data

The App may request access to the user's location in order to center the map and display nearby weather events and contingencies. Location data is used solely to provide core app functionality and is not used for advertising purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

The App and its developers shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or consequences resulting from the use of, or reliance on, information provided by the App. Users are solely responsible for their own decisions and actions based on the information displayed.

8. Changes to the Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
